THANKSGIVING!

Today, I give thanks for the Lord’s goodness and promises over my life. I remember…and lift up my voice in JOYFUL SURRENDER. He that promised is well able to bring into completion what He began in you and me. Join me as I rejoice in Him and through Him.

God will bring you and me to OUR DESIRED HAVEN:

Psalms 107:28-30
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They they were GLAD when it grew calm, and he guided them to THEIR DESIRED HAVEN.

You and I offer Him OUR THANKSGIVING:

We gave THANKS to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for me. We EXALT him in the assembly of the people and praise him in the council of elders.

I don’t know at what point you are in life, but remember…He is still MIGHTY to save, heal, deliver, restore and make all things NEW! Come to His Gates with praise and to His Courts with THANKSGIVING! Say…the Lord is good and His mercies endures forever. Rejoice, rejoice and again, rejoice!

BECOMING A MASTER OF GOOD

Romans 16:19-20 Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to WISE ABOUT WHAT IS GOOD, and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace will SOON crush Satan under your feet.

Yesterday, as I walked the short distance to pick my daughter from kindergarten, the words of Romans 16:19-20 started flowing out of my mouth in form of a song we used to sing many years ago in my home church back in Kenya. Yes, God has been teaching me a great truth of late. Oh….and this is after what has been a tough season of going through the FLOODWATERS and THE FIRE.

Psalm 66:10-12 For you, O God tested us; you refined us like silver. You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. You let men ride over our heads; we went through FIRE and WATER, but you brought us to A PLACE OF ABUNDANCE.

And yes, while we were going through the battle, we couldn’t understand why things were happening as they were. No, not until things had cleared up….and now, as I stand at the other side, God is saying to me.

KINGDOM PROSPERITY IS NOT AN ASSET: IT IS A REWARD!

Proverbs 13:21 Misfortune pursues the sinner, but PROSPERITY IS THE REWARD of the RIGHTEOUS.

Oh…I have touched on a topic which many have come to loathe….Or I might be wrong? What is your view on prosperity? Do you think Kingdom prosperity is an ASSET or a REWARD? First let us define these two words:

AN ASSET is: the entire property owned by a person; valuable item that is OWNED; useful or valuable quality, person or thing; an ADVANTAGE OR RESOURCE.

A REWARD is: taking reward of thine own value; the fruit of one’s labor or works; that which is given in return for good or evil done; receive for some services or attainment as for excellence in studies; recompense, requital.

While the discussion has become heated about whether it is right to preach or teach about prosperity in the Kingdom, I believe with all my heart that God was and is still the AUTHOR of the word PROSPERITY! If it weren’t the case, He wouldn’t care to repeat the same to the children of Israel as they prepared themselves to enter into the Promised land. But remember….PROSPERITY is not an ASSET; it is A REWARD.

THE KINGDOM WITHIN

Luke 17:21 Nor will people say, ‘Here it is, or ‘There it is,’ because the KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU.

Yesterday was no different…the winterly and cold weather outside is as fierce as it was a week or two ago. But yesterday was different…the battle within was fierce unlike any other in recent times. No, I was not battling with a person, but rather with my feelings and the circumstances around me. I asked God, ‘Why does it have to be this way and not any other way?’ Then as I reached out for the tea pack to brew myself a cup of hot mulled tea, I heard the Lord speak into my heart; THE KINGDOM IS WITHIN IN YOU. I knew that scripture verse but

I AM ADDICTED TO LOVE

With the LOVER’S DAY round the corner, I would like to brag on this one: I am A LOVE ADDICT. First of all, for the love I gain and the love I give. I wake up to love, I live to love and I lie down to love. In essence, my life is saturated with love. I don’t know about you…but if you look around…you will find what I already have.

LOVING LIFE AND MANY GOOD DAYS

Psalms 34:12-14 Whoever of you LOVES LIFE and DESIRES TO SEE MANY GOOD DAYS, keep YOUR TONGUE from evil and your lips from speaking lies. Turn from evil and do good; SEEK PEACE and PURSUE IT.

A good diet and regular exercise will ensure you a long and healthy life, the experts says. And I do partly agree with them. You and I know that you are what you eat…or rather…your physically body is a reflection of what you eat. But not so when it comes to one’s soul.

A few days ago, I had a conversation with a good friend of mine. She had just come back from the funeral of a long time college friend. His, was a sad story, one which got me thinking. You see, for 25 years, he faithfully dedicated his life working for this particular institution. For him, his work was his ‘second home.’ Then things began changing…
