JOY+PEACE=OVERFLOW WITH HOPE

Romans 15:13 May the GOD OF HOPE fill you with all JOY and PEACE as you trust in him, so that you may OVERFLOW WITH HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit.

From time to time….we all need some equations from the THRONE OF MERCY to help us in our time of need. Right? So…here today, I have some simple mathematics. SPIRITUAL MATHEMATICS.

JOY…is defined as: a deep feeling or condition of happiness or CONTENTMENT; an outward show of pleasure or delight; something causing such a feeling; success or satisfaction.

Proverbs 17:22 A CHEERFUL HEART IS GOOD MEDICINE, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

PEACE….is defined as: a state of STILLNESS, SILENCE or SERENITY; the state existing during the absence of war; a state of harmony between peoples or groups.etc

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the PEACEMAKERS, for they will be called the sons of God.

HOPE….is defined as: a feeling of desire for something and confidence in the possibility of its fulfillment; a reasonable ground for this filling; a PERSON OR THING that gives a cause for hope.

Proverbs 13:12 HOPE deferred makes the heart sick, but a LONGING FULFILLED is a TREE OF LIFE.

So here is the equation.

JOY added to PEACE adds up to an overflow with HOPE which can and will not be denied. Yes…because, the Holy Spirit does not deny us what we are joyfully and peacefully waiting for.

Romans 5:1-5 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, what have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into the grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character; and character hope. AND HOPE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT US, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, who he has given us.

Do you have PEACE WITH GOD? Then you qualify into the mathematics of Godly Kingdom.
Do you REJOICE IN THE HOPE of the glory of God? Then you qualify into the equation of spiritual mathematics.

And above all…when you OVERFLOW WITH HOPE…you are preparing yourselves for the place of meeting with your God because…He dwells in the praises of His peoples. Therefore, increase in joy; dwell in peace and linger on in hope because God will not deny you.

  1. it is the JOY that keep us going each day, the source of Water inside us that we go even when we are not happy, to be feeded in Joy and find the peace and happiness again. And all this happens through Jesus Christ and only. All is possible through Him.
Keep the faith and the good work!

    • Thank you, Dimitra. Good to hear from you. Yes…joy keeps us going in spite of everything around us. Without Jesus life is less of life….

      God bless you!

  2. I love this idea of the spiritual mathematics. With math, there is a right and wrong answer, there is true and false. It is the same with God. He is the Truth and His promises are true. Thanks for sharing this wonderful idea. Peace, Linda

  3. Thank you for this. It has been a rough week for our family, and we’ve just been praying and saying, “Hang on to the Lord, family. Hang on to the Lord, hang on to the Lord.” Every day, minute by minute. He is faithful, and we are trusting him.

    Have a wonderful day.

    • Hi friend,

I pray that you and your household will find peace and joy as you journey on in Him. May His peace which surpasses all understand be with you and keep you…now and always. Keep Him close to your heart. I will keep you in prayer.

  4. Gladwell,

Thank you for those wonderful words of wisdom…I have noticed that I have failed many times in that equation…mostly in the JOY part….God has asked us to rejoice in everything…and sometimes…I’m not able to rejoice in everything that is happening…and I’m sure God wants me to learn that part….and everything else will fall into place.

    God Bless,
    Rani

    • Rani,

I know what you mean. Yes, its difficult to rejoice when things are going all wrong…but that’s the point. When you find strength to rejoice even in difficult times, God comes to us speedily with sure salvation. I have seen Him prove Himself true over and over again. But again…it is a journey and we all learn through our own mistakes. God will come your way today. You have been FAITHFUL…even when things have been tough. I love you!

Keep well and blessed in Him,

      Gladwell
