PRAY FOR MY FAMILY

Hebrews 10:35-36 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be RICHLY REWARDED. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

I don’t know who will read this…but my friend…DON’T GIVE UP! SIMPLY DON’T THROW IN THE TOWEL. Your reward is on the way. Just a little while longer….and you will be rewarded greatly!!!

As some of you might well know, my family and I are in a season of transition and we have been preparing to leave our country for sometime now. In just a little over a week, we will be finally saying goodbye and heading to our new home. Of course, we have this blessed hope and assurance that it will be well. And even much more than that. GOD HAS GONE BEFORE US….and He is OUR REAR GUARD. I am encouraged each day…and especially by the many blogging friends I have come to know through this blog. I thank God for each and every one of them. And I thank God for my readers….who I will not be able to communicate with through this blog for a while as my family settles into our new country and home.

I therefore humbly request that you keep my family in prayer because we need it. And may the Lord bless and keep you all…hoping to catch up with you….sometime later before the end of Summer.

YOU ARE ALL A BLESSING….and MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!

  2. Gladwell, it has been much time since we communicated. I too am moving country with my family.

It is my only source of peace to know that God’s will, will be done. If will have His way. If does and He will supply our every need! Hallelujah!! What shall I fear?? 🙂 Seek Him my sister. Know His presence.

Much love in and only through Jesus my precious Saviour.
    Matthew.

    • Matthew,

Yes…I do agree with you…PEACE is something we all need…and especially when you step out of your comfort zone and head out into the unknown. But as I now know firsthand, God is faithful and will see you through each and every moment of uncertainty that lies ahead. HE IS FAITHFUL. I will keep your family in prayer. Be blessed as you trust Him.

God bless and keep your mind stayed on HIM,

    • Lidj,

Thank you so much. I am so grateful for the reward. I will get around to reading it…in time since I am using a cyber computer at the moment and am time constrained. I see God opening a door for me to have my own computer again. Keep us in prayer….and lots of love from Swindon, UK…our new home.

    • Elaine,

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers…and yes, its a matter of time before I get back on the scene. God has been faithful. We are just getting started…and trusting Him for open doors. I do hope to read from you soon as well. God is good.

      Love,

  3. Hi,
I found your blog on a link from God with Us: Finding Joy.
I head to Poland on a mission trip in a few days. May you find peace in your move and joy from the Lord during and after this change.

  4. Gladwell,
I don’t know when you will read this but I do hope soon. 11 months ago, my family and I made the transition from Dubai here to Vancouver and it was such a mental challenge. However, with God at the helm, the physical challenges dissapeared and we just clung onto Him for dear life. God is faithful and never leaves our hand, no matter what. It is something I can stand on top of the tallest building and shout because that is God’s nature. He is faithful and loves us dearly. You are in safe hands and we are praying over you and your family that God will make this a seamless and beautiful transition.
    Blessings,
    Vineet

    • Vineet,

Thank you my brother. I needed to hear this. We arrived here in Swindon, UK over a week ago and as you well know, there is so much to be done. But by God’s grace we are making progress each day. Keep us uplifted in prayer. My heart and thoughts are with you all. God bless.

  5. Gladwell,
I’ve been away from the computer myself and have missed connecting with the Lord’s family online. So, I add my prayers to the many others, for your safety, protection, peace of mind, and assurance that the Lord will guard your going out (from your present place) and your coming in (to your new country). What a blessing to know that the Lord’s family, His Presence, and His Holy Spirit knows no bounds! You will be dearly missed, and I look forward to all that’s ahead for you!
Love in Him, your friend, Linda

With you…I have yet no perfect words to describe the spiritual yoke that ties us together. But…the Spirit knows all things. As for now…I want to say thank you so much and may the Lord’s purpose over your life come to fruition and may your righteousness shine like the daylight!!!

With love and tons of blessings,

  12. I recently learned a lesson in praying that ties in with part of what the verse you have quoted says. ‘Persevere’

I have been praying not only to God but against Satan for the welfare of my family. I have prayed against distruction and for restoration.

Recently, soom things began to stir that seemed to have restoration written all over it. As a result I turned all my attention to God in the form of praise. I didn’t feel it was necessary to continue fighting Satan.

What seemed so sure, began to fade. The Lord brought this passage to mind. Exodus 17 where Moses has his hands lifted toward God and Joshua is in the field fighting the Amalakites.

As long as Moses kept his hands up toward the Lord Joshua was winning. It didn’t mean that Joshua could quit fighting the enemy. As long as both the praying and the fighting went on, they saw evidence that they were winning.

I have gone back to the fighting and praying. It is like I am clearing out a spot for my family to live that is free of Satan’s ability to destroy and steal. It is cool to see evidence when I am engaged in both (the fighting and the praying); when I ‘persevere’ beyond the feeling of victory all the way to actual evidence of it.

I include you from time to time in the mix of that kind of praying. I’ll be sure to continue during this time of transition.

    Mike

    • Mike,

I felt WHOLE when I read your thoughts on prayer…and our need to stay put until we see complete victory over what the enemy has stolen from us. How I pray that we will continue to lift each others hands up…until each one of us receives their full victory. I will keep your family in prayer as well….and where two or three are in agreement on earth…heaven’s doors open in agreement as well. Keep HIS BANNER OF LOVE lifted always.

      My blessings and prayers,

      Gladwell

  13. Gladwell, my prayers are with you and your family during this move and the transition that follows. May God grant you the protection and support you need as you enter this new chapter in your life. I will look forward to hearing from you when you are ‘back’!
    God Bless

    • Mike,

Thank you so much. I know God has heard your prayers….and may He enrich and continue using you in your ministry of love as you continue to trust in Him.

      With God’s blessings,

      Gladwell

  14. Thinking of you so much, and lifting you in prayer! Praising God for His wonderful blessings through you and for the way He is in constant care over you and yours. You are precious and much loved! deb

    • Deb,

How I thank God for you….and your enlarged heart to love Him and people. Thank you for standing with me at this point and time. God bless you mightily.

      Love and hugs,

      Gladwell

  15. Dear Gladwell, I pray in confidence that God will keep you and your family and will indeed go before you, be your rear guard, and be ever-present with you. I’m thanking Him for what He will do through you now, as you move, and in your new home.

The Lord bless and keep each member of your family, make His face shine upon you, and give you rest.

Let us know when you’re online again!

    • Janet,

Thank you, my sister. Your comment made me cry…because those are the very same words that my mum prayed over me when I was leaving Kenya to come to Poland for my wedding! God is truly AMAZING!!

      Blessings and love,

      Gladwell
