DOES IT MATTER

The last time I checked….and I kept wondering, “GOD, DOES IT MATTER?” All this trusting, believing, pleading and staying at one point. “DOES IT MATTER?” So here I am and the Lord put it out well. Yes, it matters. Oh…it more than matters. I am stretching your spiritual muscles. For too long…you have confined yourself to accomodate what you can handle in your present situation. But I am here…I want you TO STRETCH, I want you TO ENLARGE, I want you to MOVE OUT….yes, because I have plans for you. In case you might wonder who this word is for…It for me….and you, and him, and her, and yes….for most of us.

DARE I SAY MORE…..read ISAIAH 54 for the bigger picture.

You are loved! God bless you all.

  1. Wow, Gladwell, I’ve been asking myself this ever since we made our 6-month “test” move to Canada. Does it matter where we serve Him, how, to whom, etc? But going into our 4th month here, He’s showing us that it DOES matter. Not because of the specifics I just mentioned, but because we obeyed Him.

So, obedience matters, And what’s even more important, YOU matter! So glad to see you back and anticipate with joy ‘talking’ more with you!

    Love and blessings!

  2. Gladwell,
Welcome back and thank you for this encouraging post. I love the way you related our spirituality to a muscle that needs to be excercised and I praise God for knowing how to make it strong and fit always. I sometimes ask that same question of God and that’s when He shakes up my spiritual life to show me that His purposes are greater than my small mind can ever comprehend and that just because I cannot see Him does not mean He is not there and watching. Thank you for this reminder and I’m so happy to see you back encouraging us again.
    In Christ,

    • Vineet,

Thanks. But I am yet to get back full swing. I believe the Lord will get us back from where we stopped. Your relocation story is a constant encouragement. HE IS MORE THAN ABLE. God bless.

  3. Gladwell, You have been in my thoughts and prayers quite a bit lately. It was good to see your post this afternoon. It was encouragement I needed as I am feeling stretched, and a bit exhausted from the stretching. But it is then that I know it is time to rely on our Awesome God to be my strength. Peace, Linda

  4. Gladwell,
Your words of faith ministered powerfully to my spirit this morning. The passage Isaiah 54 has been God’s word for me too, on the very day my beloved husband’s body was laid to rest 21 months ago today.

Keep the faith, dear friend. You have been faithful. You are a shining light.

    Love

    • Lidj,

Yes, its been awhile…but I thank God that these words ministered to your heart in a special way especially after what you have been through. HE IS YOUR HUBBY…and that is the best part. You are loved and missed dearly.

  5. Gladwell,

I was so glad to see a new posting from you. I missed your words of encouragement!
Yes it matters, during this difficult season in my life, I am learning so much about myself and the faithfulness of God’s word.
It all matters… for as I look in the mirror I’m losing the image of myself and I’m starting to see more of His image in me.
    To God be the Glory!

    Remain Bless,
    Sylvia

    • Sylvia,

I love your heart and how you always seem to have a word of encouragement when I need it. Oh…how I want to get back…but unless the LORD builds the house…so I will wait for the right time and will surely get back in His GOOD TIME.

      Loads of love and blessings,

      Gladwell

    • Deb,

Believe you me….I have missed your honest and genuine words of encouragement. I am posting from a public library…and am finding it hard to fight back the tears. My heart is bubbling with joy….as I wait for the AWESOME THING He has in store. Thank you so much.

      Loads of love and hugs,

    • Larry,

I don’t when I will be fully back on the net, but I believe when God is do with us….MY TENT will be packed with GODLY GOODIES for His people in need. At the moment, I am being a GOOD STUDENT OF THE WORD…and the TESTING. Thank you….I appreciate your encouragement!

      Gladwell

    • |Eden,

Thank you for your love and prayers….and know He who is faithful will reward each and everyone of you who has held us in prayer as we transition and move into our new country.

Love and blessings to you, my dear,

  7. I was just wondering about you this morning. Seeing the time of your post, it was about then that you crossed my mind. Glad to have you back. Hope all is well.

I agree with the stretching. We need to be stretched. We need to be enlarged. The lost and even the church needs to see something greater than it has been seeing.

This morning I read Acts 2.

    • Mike,

What a faithful God we have. I just felt to put this word out yesterday after a long while away from the net. We are still far from being settled…but God has and is seeing us through this phase in our lives. But above all, He has kept our heart GUARDED and STAYED in Him as we want for the purpose and plan for our lives to be revealed and accomplished.

Stay safe and in His peace,

      Gladwell
