THE WIND OF CHANGE

John 3:8 The WIND blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of THE SPIRIT.

Last night, as I put my head down to sleep, I heard the Lord speak gently into my spirit. “THE WIND IS CHANGING.” Let me explain a bit. You see, sometime at the end of November last year, our landlady came with this unexpected announcement. Our house…where we moved in on our wedding night…and where our daughter has called home was soon going to be sold. Suddenly, our lives were turned upside down. For one…renting a house in our town is almost an impossible affair. Most houses are built for sale…and rarely do you find a house for rent. Secondly, because of the scarcity of rental houses, those available are at exaggerated rates.

But earlier in September, we had began thinking of looking for our own house to buy and settle down. We had an eye on a particular house…and the excitement was getting on as we prepared to get things moving in the right direction. Then…again, quite unexpectedly, the plans to relocate were soon interrupted. God closed the doors on us. Yes…the time for CHANGE was here but THE WIND OF CHANGE was not. Finally, when our landlady gave us notice of three months to move out…something happened to both of us, my husband and I at the same time. It was as if God had been waiting for this ONE MOMENT in time for a long time. Without a a long discussion or compromise, we knew that NOW…was the time for us to move out. Not out of our house…but rather to move on with THE WIND OF CHANGE.

The past few months, we have been preparing and putting our house in order. In a couple of weeks, my family and I will be on our way out. The WIND OF CHANGE is going ahead of us. The HOLY SPIRIT CLOUD…is slowing beginning to DISLODGE...and we are making the first steps towards OUR PROMISED LAND.

Exodus 13:21-22 By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day or night nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in from of the people.

As I write this, I sense in my spirit, I am not alone. Your situation might be different from mine. But all the same…the circumstances in your life are calling out for the WIND OF CHANGE. You have been camping far too long. You know its time for CHANGE…but you have not felt the WIND blowing. Hold on…my friend. As He came through for us…He will come through for you. Change may be important…but the timing of the WIND OF CHANGE is something you cannot afford to miss. Stay put; stay tuned; stay vigilant. And as you wait for the WIND OF CHANGE remember the foolish virgins and be warned:

Matthew 25:6-10 At midnight the cry rang out.’Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And THE DOOR WAS SHUT

    • Deb,

For me….the camping has taught me lessons I could never have learned otherwise. So…I rejoice because of the camping…and I am rejoicing as I dislodge. I know you will brace up for the wind as God lays things into your heart. He is faithful…and timely in His doing! Prepare…my friend!

  5. Gladwell,
No, you are not alone, the winds of change blow our way too. Your faith is strong and a great example to your brothers and sisters. Follow the pillar of your faith and you will be led where He wants you to be. God Bless your Family

      • Yes,
and it is exciting to know we are all on a similar path, with the same destination. Walking by faith without a safety net of earthly security below can be frightening at first, until you realize the myth of the safety net. All along, the safety net was only an illusion projected by the evil one, there was no net, ever.
        God Bless
        Jim

      • Jim,

Isn’t that so assuring…to know that the net wasn’t meant to be, because Christ is our sure safety for now and through eternity. Thank you for that encouraging word. Blessed my heart!

        God bless you.

  6. In a thousand ways, I completely resonate with this post, my friend. The wind is, in fact, blowing through our neck of the woods, and I can’t wait until it carries me into my “next.” In the meantime, I’m trying to survive the chaos its blown into my today. Have mercy… do they hand out ribbons for moving? If so, I deserve at least a blue one.

You’re not alone, sister. We’re in this together…

    peace~elaine

    • Elaine,

Thank you. At least…I know there is someone walking in my shoe as well….you deserve all the ribbons they are to give…and much more. Stay put…as you prepare to take of…to HIS NEXT! You are blessed.

  7. Hi there,

Reading this, I felt you were writing my story too. Hubby, baby and I too have been searching for a home for 18 months since we relocated and just last night it seems we’d found one that’s just within our budget. We prayed about it, asking God to lead us and show us favour if it was in His will that we get that house. I also felt as though ‘It was time for change’.

I pray the Lord come through for you and lead you to your place of rest.

    • Thank you, my friend. And may the Lord open the doors of favour for you…as you step out and live out your faith. Great to hear from you.

      Blessings in abundance!

      Gladwell
