Whose COUNSEL are you walking in?
Which PATH are you standing on?
What SEAT are you occupying?
This is true of life…we have people who we LISTEN to; people we FOLLOW; and people who we SHARE our thoughts and life with. Many years ago, I was facing a very tough time in my life. I needed something to BACK ME UP before the Lord against the opposition I was facing. Then, I remembered the very first verses of Psalm 1 and my heart found REST.
Psalm 1: 1-3 BLESSED IS...the man who does not WALK IN THE COUNSEL OF THE WICKED, or STAND IN THE WAY OF SINNERS, OR SIT IN THE SEAT OF MOCKERS. But his delight is in the Lord of the Lord. and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields it fruits in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
Are you that man? Then…you are blessed indeed!!!
