Genesis 13:14-15 The Lord said to Abram after Lot had PARTED from him. ‘Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring (seed) FOREVER.
If you are a Christian, I have to assume you are familiar with the storyline above. Here is Abram, a man who God calls out from his home country with a promise that he will give him another land. At 75, he is childless and therefore, instead of taking the journey alone, he brings along his nephew, Lot the son of his brother Haran. For awhile, things between them works out fine, and in a sense as business partners. However with time, what had appeared as a great partnership begins cracking as Abram and Lot’s herdsmen start quarrelling over inadequate land for their herds. Then Abram does what he knows best to do. It is time to SEPARATE. And without calling it by name, he knows that he has reached HIS CROSSROADS.
