Job 42:15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.

The adverts are out. There will be a beauty pageant in a month’s time. The casting team will be out in Uz town looking for something fresh and exciting. Three wonderful, God-fearing sisters are out on an afternoon walk when they notice the advert on the billboard…Yes, its Jemima, Keziah and Keren-Happuch, Job’s daughters. Why, we should come out for the casting. Who knows, we might be lucky, they giggle to one another before making their way back home. The day comes around and to their great surprise, they are selected to represent their town on the national level.

Beauty is EVERYTHING…that is physical beauty. In the modern world we live in, women are pressured to conform to a certain standard of beauty. The beauty and fashion business is worth billions of dollars in returns and yet the same old cycle of life remains…we grow older, the wrinkles deepen, the hair greys, the bones ache and our memory become dull. No matter what efforts we take to stop or reduce our aging tides, the ticking clock still remains faithfully ever moving forward.

But there is a beauty that does not fade with age. ‘…but a woman who FEARS the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. Proverbs 31:30-31. Note, the daughters of Job were physically beautiful…but beyond that beauty they were God-fearing something which their father valued much more and resulted into granting them an inheritance along with his sons. If you and I desire to AGE BEAUTIFULLY…let us remember God has only one criteria for us….THE FEAR OF THE LORD…that’s where our heritage is concealed.
