Luke 10:33-34 But a SAMARITAN, as he travelled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. THen he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.

We are all TRAVELLERS on the hard-trodden road of life. Things are tough, life is busy and demanding. We have schedules and targets to meet. But every once in awhile, in the midst of the busyness of life comes that unwanted, much less desired INTERRUPTION. It’s a call to reach out to someone in need. Oh no, Lord. Not me. This is not my CALLING. Please send someone else along to help out, you pray. Before long, the LORD passes over the problem to another and you sigh with relief.

After sometime, we forget and move on until something major happens in our own lives. We need help and need it badly. The Pastor, even though willing to help has other more pressing issues to deal with. Yours can wait, he suggests. You get hurt and deeply frustrated. God seems so far away…but all the same you turn to HIM for help. And guess what, help comes quickly. The same person you had no time not long before, is the same one who comes to your rescue. They are a GOD-SEND. They responded to the unwanted INTERRUPTION. They were touched by mercy and they desire to return in kind.

Has God ever send GOOD SAMARITANS in your life when you were in need? If so, remember the SAMARITAN was the hero in the parable told by JESUS. THE SAMARITAN IS YOU IN WAITING!
